COMPANY BACKGROUND – This is a well established Qatari based company servicing the Oil, Gas, Chemical and Petrochemical industries both on and offshore with over 26 years of past success. The company is recognized for its excellent quality and HSE records holding both ISO 9000 and OSHA 18001 certificates, with over 1100 full time employee, and growing. It specializes in the following fields:

• EPC Contracts for projects worth upto QAR 400 Million (USD 100 Million) with the intention to grow beyond.
• Maintenance of mechanical equipment, electrical and instrumentations.
• Man Power supply
• Shutdown services
• Agencies and sales divisions for international products and services

COMPANY FACILITIES

• Large fabrication facilities for tanks, pressure vessels, piping and structures built to international codes and standards such as ASME (P,U,S,R), NB, BS, API etc.
• Valve repair shop
• E&I shop
• Machine shop

THE CANDIDATE

• University Level Engineering Degree holder
• 10+ years of total industry experience out of which at least 5 years in Oil & Gas or EPC domain
• 3+ years experience in a Project Manager role
• Ability to work in a multi cultural environment
• Past experience in ME will be a big plus, though not mandatory.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Promote established policy and objectives throughout the department to increase awareness, motivation and involvement.
• Ensure focus on customer requirements throughout the department.
• Ensure that appropriate processes are implemented to enable requirements of customers and other interested parties to be fulfilled and objectives to be achieved.
• Ensure that an effective and efficient Quality/HSE management system is established, implemented and maintained in the department to achieve these objectives.
• Ensure the availability of necessary resources in the department.
• Decide on actions regarding the Quality/HSE policy and objectives.
• Decide actions taken for improvement of Quality/HSE management system.
• Receipt of tender / enquiries.
• Clarify with clients as appropriate.
• Attend mid tender meetings / site visits
• Obtain Sub-contractor prices
• Prepare and submit tenders
• On award of contract, source and arrange to procure material, organize work team, coordinate with clients, sub-contractors
• Visit site and de-bottleneck monitor progress
• Supervise planning/progress reports
• Preparation of invoices
• Prepare and claim for additional work, if any
• Liaise with workshop stores and accounts
• Look after general safety aspects
• Perform any other task, to the best of the ability of the job holder that the management may from time to time request.
